Q. What does Perfectly Chilled offer?

A. Perfectly Chilled is an independent travel style directory featuring an eclectic range of private property rentals, small stylish hotels, B&Bs and unusual places to stay, combined with magazine-style editorial destination features, shopping and lifestyle inspirations and useful where to buy and travel resource directories. Our advertisers include private property owners, property managers, select property agents, hotels and B&Bs, travel, retail and lifestyle advertisers. Perfectly Chilled is not a travel or booking agent or endeavoring to sell products and services under the Perfectly Chilled name, but is dedicated to connecting site users directly to our advertisers.

Q. How do I use the Perfectly Chilled site?

A. The website is divided into the following stylishly designed and easy to navigate sections: About Us, Property Rentals, Hotels, Travel Notes, Travel Style, Travel Links and How To Advertise. Our property rental and hotel sections feature a range of accommodation ideas. Our built-in Make a Booking Enquiry facility enables users to make direct booking enquiries with advertisers. Perfectly Chilled also provides a platform for users to interact, submit and share their own personal recommendations and experiences and users can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter to find out about new listings on the site and to benefit from any special promotional offers that may be provided exclusively to our followers.

Travel to the far reaches of the world to experience the brilliant moments in our magazine style Travel Notes section which features inspiring destinations and unique travel experiences. You can also read about the places we love and those of our special guest correspondents who are invited to share their own personal travel stories and experiences.

From well known established brands to small and innovative retail and lifestyle gems, our Travel Style section features a regular round-up of our favourite cool finds, hottest trends and lifestyle and shopping inspirations and those of our special guest contributors who are invited to share their own travel style inspirations. Our Where to Buy Directory features a useful address book with website links and contact details for some of our favourite retail and lifestyle contacts.

The Travel Links section features links to a range of third party travel resource websites for the busy modern day traveller and are chosen by us because they are informative, inspiring and great to know about before you go.

Q. How can I save the details of places I'm interested in?

A. When you have found a property rental or hotel that you are interested in, you can either print the relevant page by using our ‘Print this Page’ facility within the Travel Essentials area for that particular property or hotel advert, or simply use your browsers bookmark facility so that you can return to your favourite property or hotel at a later time or date.

Q. How can I easily show someone else a property/hotel I'm looking at?

A. Yes, if you want to forward the details of a particular property or hotel to a friend or someone else in your group, simply click on the 'Send to Friend' link within the Travel Essentials area on the property or hotel advert page. You then need to complete the form with your name, email address and your friend's email. Click send and they will receive an email and link directing them to that specific advert page.

Q. Is Perfectly Chilled exclusively for members?

A. No, Perfectly Chilled is not exclusively for members. Anyone can use the site, it is free of charge to use and there are no booking fees for site users. However, you are required to register with Perfectly Chilled to advertise either your rental property or hotel on the site. Advertisers automatically become members of the Perfectly Chilled site. You are also required to register with us if you would like to use any of our email communication services.

Q. How do I search for information on a property/hotel?

A. You can search for a range of accommodation ideas and styles in both of our property rental and hotel collection sections on the site. Our dedicated style categories include the following areas: Urban Style, Rural Retreats, By the Sea, Eco Style, Family Friendly, Small Wonders and Active Escapes. Users can also use the Quick Search facility for both hotel and property listings, or use our interactive, advanced Detailed Property Search facility with a range of multi-criteria to select from to help you find properties that fit your requirements. Once you have found a property or hotel that you are interested in, simply click on the 'Make a Booking Enquiry' to get in touch with the advertiser direct. Please note you will receive a response direct from the advertiser.

Q. How can I list my property or hotel on the site?

A. We offer high quality bespoke advertising packages to both property and hotel advertisers. To advertise your property or hotel on the site you simply have to register in the first instance and then follow the easy steps to creating your advert. Please note that all properties and hotels are subject to our selection criteria and are reviewed by the Perfectly Chilled team before being accepted for inclusion on the site. We only offer commission rates for Splendia registered hotels. All other hotels and properties are subject to our standard terms and conditions and advertise through our annual subscription fee.

A. We offer a range of dedicated advertising spaces and marketing opportunities to travel, retail and lifestyle advertisers, so whether you are looking to build brand awareness or promote new travel, retail or lifestyle products and services, Perfectly Chilled can help you to achieve greater exposure, all within one dedicated travel-style focused environment. Q. What browser is the Site best viewed in?

A. Perfectly Chilled has been designed and optimised for use in Mozilla Firefox 3.0+ at 1024 x 768 screen resolution. The site has been tested in both Internet Explorer 6.0+ and Mozilla Firefox 2.0+. JavaScript should be enabled in order to take advantage of some of our advanced features, such as the My Assistant tool.

Q. How does the online booking process work?

A. Through our hotel reservation partner, you can now check availability and make a Live online booking for a hotel when you see the "Book Now" button. Please note online booking is not available for hotels where you see the "Request Availability" button.

When you click the "Book Now" button you will remain on the Perfectly Chilled website but a "live" availability page will pop up. You will then be able to add the date you require to check availability, and only the room types available for your chosen dates and their "live" rates will be visable. The next step is to choose the room/s required to see the date and subtotal and then simply click "Book". You will then be requested to complete the reservation form and make the secure online payment for your booking. You will receive confirmation of your booking direct from Splendia, our reservation partner.

Individual hotels’ booking conditions vary, and when booking online you will be required to provide credit card details (normally with a deposit) to guarantee your booking. This is processed in a secure environment using the latest encryption technology. Your booking details will show exactly what deposit is payable and the balance payable to the hotel on departure, or the details of final balance payment.

Should your chosen property be a "Request Availability" hotel (ie without online booking) you will be able to enter your details on an enquiry form that goes directly to the hotel. They will then respond to you directly.

Q. What does "Request Availability" mean?

A. The "Request Availability" button shows instead of "Book Now" if your chosen hotel does not offer live online booking through Perfectly Chilled. You will be able to enter your details on an enquiry form that goes directly to them. They will then respond to you directly by phone or email as soon as possible. This is normally within a few hours.

Q. How do I make a booking with a property/hotel advertiser?

A. The great thing about our site is that you can book directly with the property or hotel advertiser. When you see a property or hotel you are interested in, you can email the advertisers directly by using our integrated Make a Booking Enquiry facility within the property or hotel advert itself. Simply complete the enquiry form with your contact details and wherever possible, give details about your preferred dates, group size and any other special requirements. From then on you can correspond directly with the advertiser. It's a personal and flexible way of finding the best property or hotel that best suits your requirements.

Through Splendia, our exclusive hotel reservation partner, you can now check availability and make a direct online booking for each hotel only where you see the "Book Now" button. Please note this is not available for hotels where you do not see the "Book Now" button.

Q. Who do I make a booking payment for a property rental?

A. The advertiser will email or call you back to let you know if your dates are available and hopefully, answer any of your questions that you may have about the property or hotel. You can then agree and confirm a booking with them directly. The standard procedure for property rentals is for the owner/agent to send a booking contract with the agreed dates and price for you to sign and return along with any required deposit.

Q. How do I make a payment for an online hotel booking?

A. Bookings are made with our online booking partners Splendia, and not with Perfectly Chilled. Splendia acts as the sole online booking agent for Perfectly Chilled. Full booking terms and conditions are supplied by Splendia, and can be viewed on our booking pages. You will need to confirm your acceptance of these terms and conditions when booking. Where payment or a deposit is due in advance to a hotel or to Splendia, this will be advised and itemised at the time of booking. Splendia will contact you directly to confirm booking.

Q. I haven't heard back from the property/hotel - what should I do?

A. If an advertiser has not replied to your email within 3 to 5 days it is also worth checking that the email address which you supplied to them in your booking enquiry form was correct, and sending a second message if it was not. We would then suggest looking for other properties or hotels on the site as an alternative.

Splendia, our exclusive hotel reservation partner, will contact following receipt of online booking/payment. If you do not receive a response to your booking within 24 hours, please do not hesitate to contact us at Perfectly Chilled, and we will contact them on your behalf.

Q. Why is the property/hotel advertiser asking for a deposit?

A. Booking details will vary from property owner to agent, but most will ask for a booking deposit to confirm the booking, with the balance of payment to follow closer to your holiday dates. Most hotels will also ask you for a deposit or credit card number to secure your reservation. Hotel booking conditions and reservation procedures may vary.

Perfectly Chilled does not arrange or take responsibility for payment and booking procedures, and once you are in touch with an advertiser you should agree the booking and or rental/reservation conditions between you.

Some property owners may also ask for a security deposit with every booking as this is the simplest way to cover unexpected costs they may incur as a result of your stay. If you lose keys, or if you accidentally break a lamp or garden chair the easy solution is for the owner to use the security deposit to cover this expense and refund the rest of the security deposit to you as appropriate. We recommend that you request details of any such security deposits (payment, conditions and refund) prior to making your booking. This should be contained in the advertisers own booking contract.

Q. Can I cancel my holiday booking through you?

A. If for any reason you need to cancel your holiday or booking, please contact the advertiser direct. As Perfectly Chilled does not take part in the booking process, the cancellation has to be negotiated between you and the advertiser. Most advertisers will have booking contracts that specify what will happen in the case of a cancellation.

Any bookings made through Splendia, our exclusive hotel reservation partner, will be subject to Splendia terms and conditions. The cancellation policy and all other aspects of the terms and conditions will be available following booking confirmation.

Q. Can I purchase goods and services from Travel, Retail or Lifestyle Advertisers via the site?

A. You cannot purchase goods and services direct on the Perfectly Chilled site, however we do provide website links and contact details for you to be able to browse and buy products and services from third party advertisers direct on their own websites where online shopping may be available.

Q. What currency do I make property/hotel bookings in?

A. Both hotel and property advertisers will indicate their rental price/room rates in their preferred currency within their advertisements. Please note, accepted payment methods and currencies may vary between advertisers so we recommend that you check this with the individual advertisers direct.

When booking through Splendia, our exclusive hotel reservation partner, you will be able to see the correct currency for each listed Splendia Hotel and you can now check upto date availability and make a direct booking for each Splendia hotel.

Q. Are the quoted hotel room rates included of taxes and surcharges?

A. Please check with the individual hotel direct as to whether the quoted rates include additional taxes and surcharges within the room rate.

Through our online reservation partner, Splendia you will be able to see any charges for taxes and surcharges within the reservation form.

Q. How can I tell if a property/hotel is available?

A. For hotel availability enquiries you will be required to contact the hotel direct. Some property rental advertisers do incorporate an Availability Calendar within their advert to show when the property is available and when it is booked. To view the Availability Calendar, simply click on Price and Availability within the property advert page itself and select your preferred dates. Any dates marked in blue indicate that the property is booked during these dates. It is a good idea to check the calendar before contacting the advertiser if your dates cannot be changed and you didn't specify dates in your original enquiry. You can also see when the calendar was last updated on this page. Please note that not all property advertisers have opted to include an availability calendar within their advertisement and if they have not included this facility then we would recommend that you use the Make a Booking Enquiry form to request availability.

Through our exclusive hotel reservation partner, you can now check upto date availability and make a direct booking for this hotel. When you click the "Book Now" button you will be able to add your required dates to check availability and only the rooms available for those requested dates will be on display.

Q. I've got some questions about a property/hotel - who do I ask?

A. If you would like to request any additional information about a property or hotel, simply fill in the Make a Booking Enquiry form and ask the advertiser directly. Please provide your email address and phone number if possible so they can get back to you promptly. Some advertisers also display a phone number in their 'Contact details'. If you would rather speak to them in person then do give them a call.

Q. Where can I get the keys and directions to the property I am renting?

A. As the booking is made directly with the property owner/agent, all arrangements for directions and key exchanges are handled directly between you and the property owner/agent. Please contact them directly by phone or email to clarify arrangements if they are at all unclear.

Q. I booked a rental property, but now I can't find it on your site. Has it been removed?

A. As an advertising service provider we may remove adverts from the site for a number of reasons. Most often this will be at the advertisers own request because the property is fully booked, or because they have decided that they will not rent it out beyond the present season. We may also remove adverts whilst we await an overdue subscription payment for the advertising. If you cannot find the property you have booked on the site, do feel free to contact us and we should be able to explain or reassure you as to why the advert has been removed.

Q. There is a problem with our accommodation - who do I contact?

A. If you arrive at a property and have a problem, please contact the owner/agent directly. Some owners/agents provide the number for their local contact or a property manager for their guests to call in case of problems. Advise an owner/agent of any problems you have as soon as you can to enable them to resolve the issue for you as quickly and efficiently as possible. Perfectly Chilled does not accept any liability for disputes that may arise between the advertiser and yourself either before, during or after your stay.

Once your booking has been made, the contract is made between you and the hotel concerned and any claims or complaints against a hotel must be settled directly with the hotel concerned. If you have any reason for complaint or dissatisfaction during your stay it is important that you take this up with the hotel management to try and resolve this.
We act only as an intermediary between you and the hotels, and have no direct control over the quality of services or the charges of individual hotels. We therefore are not responsible or liable in any way whatsoever in relation to any dispute arising between you and the hotel regarding their charges, quality of services, facilities or otherwise.

Q. There is a problem with the website - who do I contact?

A. For all queries relating to problems with the website please contact support@perfectlychilled.com. From time to time, we may change, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the website including the availability of site features, database or content where we have legal, commercial or a technical reason do to so. There may also be times when the site may become inaccessible as a result of technical difficulties experienced by us on the internet. Q. How can I provide feedback about a property/hotel or travel, retail or lifestyle advertiser?

A. If you have positive or negative feedback regarding your stay at a property or hotel or travel, retail or lifestyle service displayed on our website, please feel free to pass this directly on to the advertiser and to us via our feedback email address within the Contact Us area. If you experience a problem with a property or hotel or your holiday experience failed to meet your expectations, we would advise you to contact the advertiser immediately. Where this is not possible, please address the matter with them as soon as you get home.

As an advertising website that does not take part in the booking process or selling of products and services direct from the Perfectly Chilled site, we cannot get involved in matters that occurred during your stay or during your purchase and accept no responsibility for disappointments or disputes that may arise as a consequence. We ask advertisers and site users to correspond directly with each other in order to come to a resolution. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further clarification.

We investigate any complaint raised by a site user to ensure that our advertisers are accurately describing their properties/hotels products and services and that they are behaving in a responsible and professional manner to our site users. Should this not be the case, we reserve the right to suspend adverts immediately.
